Homerville, Ga Mrs. Lolita Lee Morgan, 97, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Morgan was the oldest of eight children, born May 17, 1912, in Manor, GA, to the late, John Jackson Lee & Lottie James Lee. She was retired from Standard Container, where she worked as a machine operator, a member of the Providence Primitive Baptist Church, loved working in the garden, cooking, & taking charge and caring for her entire family. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Alger Morgan; one son: Lewis Andrew Morgan; two sisters: Ruth Ammons & Eva Mae Sylvester; four brothers: Ethan Lee, Johnny Lee, Dewey Lee, & T.M. Lee. Survivors are a daughter & son-in-law: Sandra Lolita & Jack Varner, of Atlanta, GA; a daughter-in-law: Edeen Morgan, of New Orleans, LA; two sons & daughter-in-law: John Albert & Barbara Jean Morgan, and Ronald Alger Morgan, all of Homerville; four sisters-in-law: Odell Lee, of Homerville, Hattie Lee, Margaret Lee, and Bernice Lee, all of Manor; a brother & sister-in-law: Eugene Talmadge & Lola Mae Lee, of Homerville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Morgan will be held Thursday, June 18, 2009, at eleven o’clock, at the Manor Community Baptist Church, of Manor, (formally known as the Camp Branch Providence Primitive Baptist Church). Internment will be in the Camp Branch Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, of Manor. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from 7 til 9. Mrs. Morgan will be carried to the church one hour prior to services. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Morgan family.
