John Edward Browning, Sr.

Ray City, GA Mr. John Edward Browning, Sr., 64, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016, at his residence, following a short illness. Mr. Browning was born Mar. 2, 1952, in Homerville, to the late Leo Browning and Rosa Lee Smith Browning. He had worked at Giddens Chevrolet as a mechanic and was a member of the Place of Blessing Church of God, Argyle. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen Henderson Browning and one son: Thomas Edward “Smokey” Browning. Survivors are one daughters: Relanda Renee Jewell, Ray City, GA; one son and daughter-in-law: John E. & Donna Browning, Jr., Homerville; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Wanda & Emory Lott, Naylor and Renee & John Sirmons, Lakeland; one brother and sister-in-law: Richard & Judy Browning, Ray City, GA; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a number of nieces & nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Browning will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, at two o’clock in the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Fender Cemetery, Lakeland. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 4, 2016, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Browning will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
