Danny Ray Smith

Mr. Danny Ray Smith, 67, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at his residence, following a short illness. Mr. Smith was born May 2, 1948, in Homerville, GA to the late James Haskel Smith and Lennie Lucille Strickland Smith. He had worked at Wilson Grocery Store as a stockman and was a member of the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors are one brother & sister-in-law: Tommy Day & Jewell Smith, Tifton, GA; two nephews and nieces-in-law: Dewey & Alicia Smith, Irwin County and Jerry Day & Beki Smith, Fitzgerald, GA; three great nieces: AnnaLee Smith, Shelbi Smith & Laken Smith; several cousins and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at eleven o’clock in the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, from 10 till 11 a.m. at the church.
