Georgie Ann Roundtree

Pearson, GA Ms. Georgie Ann Scurry Roundtree, 71, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, in the Mayo Clinic Health System, Waycross, GA, following an extended illness. Ms. Roundtree was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Blackshear, GA to the late Ben Franklin Scurry and Annie Crawford Aldridge. She had worked at Cady Bag as a machine operator and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by one son: Michael Buford Roundtree; four brothers: Randall Scurry, Benjamin Scurry, Jerry Scurry and Jackie Crawford, Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Tiffiney and Jerel Anderson, Pearson; four sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne & Tammy Roundtree, Person, Wesley & Caroline Roundtree, Homerville, Kenny Roundtree, Pearson and Tim & Karen Roundtree, Americus, GA; one brother & sister-in-law: Julian & Ruth Scurry, Waycross; ten grandchildren: John Wayne Roundtree, II, Heather & Devin Long, Mitchell & Taylor Roundtree, Ben & Elizabeth Johnston, Brock Roundtree, Lee Anderson, Autumn Anderson, Annie & Dustin Bagley, Tonya Roundtree and Chad Roundtree; three great grandchildren: Camden Roundtree, Aleigha Johnston and Ethan Bagley; a number of nieces & nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Ms. Roundtree will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at eleven o’clock in the Harvest Time Church of God. Interment will be in the Enon Cemetery, Blackshear, GA. The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Roundtree will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
