Robert Kelly "Bob" Singletary

Homerville, GA Mr. Robert Kelly “Bob” Singletary, 62, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009, at the Lake City VA Hospital. Mr. Singletary was born August 21, 1946, in Wayne County, GA, to the late Daniel Paul Singletary & Mary Kate Bennett Lancaster & stepfather, Joe Lancaster. He was a self-employed Contract Hauler for RKS Trucking, and a veteran of the Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Singletary was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Lou Singletary. Survivors are a daughter: Leesa Crosby, of Fernandina Beach, FL; two sons & daughters-in-law: Tony & Amanda Crosby, of Douglas, and Stephen & Amy Crosby, of Homerville; a brother & sister-in-law: Dan & Tonya Singletary; six grandchildren: Daniel White, Brian White, Stacie White, & Kyle Crosby, all of Douglas, Garrison Crosby, & Ben Crosby, both of Homerville; two great-children: Chloe White & Elena White, both of Douglas; a nephew: Joseph Singletary; and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Singletary will be held Sunday, April 19, 2009 at two o’clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Saturday evening, from 6 til 8. Mr. Singletary will be carried to the church one hour prior to services.
