George Joyce

Homerville, GA Mr. George Joyce, 72, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following an extended illness. Mr. Joyce was born March 2, 1943, in Homerville, GA to the late A. J. Joyce and Ludell Lankford Joyce. He was a self-employed painter and was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Rachel Bailey and Carrington Maree Joyce. Survivors are two daughters & sons-in-law: Georgia & Joe Lott Willacoochee and Emma & Charles Bailey, Lakeland, GA; two sons & daughter-in-law: George & Sara Joyce and Jamie Joyce, all of Homerville; three brothers & sister-in-law: Don & Bonnie Joyce, Ken Joyce and Barry Joyce, all of Homerville, GA; twelve grandchildren: Dakota Joyce, Nicole Cater, Katilyn Joyce, Ivy Joyce, Cierra Joyce, Ragan Bailey, Reanna Bailey, Charleigh Bailey, Kaleb Cason, Zachary Cason, Trenten Cason and Chloe Joyce; a number of nieces & nephews and other relatives. Graveside services for Mr. Joyce will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at eleven o’clock in the Arabia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
