Fargo, GA Mr. Billy Wayne “Bill” Thomas, 67, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, in the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL, surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness. Mr. Thomas was born April 5, 1948, in Waycross, GA to the late Raymond W. Thomas and Emma Louise Parr Thomas. He was a retired State Park Manager for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and a Fargo City Councilman. He was a member of the Fargo United Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife: Calista Twisdale Thomas, Fargo; two sons & daughters-in-law: Jamie & Maureen Thomas, Peachtree City, GA and John & Diane Thomas, Panama City Beach, FL; one brother & sister-in-law: Raymond J. & Joann Thomas, Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren: Tristan Thomas, River Thomas, Violet Thomas, Calista Shea & Chris Holmes, Kyra Clark, Kacie Clark and Gary Clark; one great grandson: Brock Avery Thomas; one niece: Debra & Chuck Leavitt; four nephews: Eric & Theresa Twisdale, Tim Twisdale, Norm Twisdale and Jeremy & Angela Thomas; eleven great nieces & nephews, six great great nieces & nephews and several other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at three o’clock in the Fargo United Church. Interment will be in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Thomas will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Fargo Community Fund. Condolences to the family may be conveyed at the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
