Mary Dean Sweat Hooper

Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary Dean Sweat Hooper, 71, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following a brief illness. Mrs. Hooper was born July 11, 1944, in Ware County, GA to the late Bishop Milton O. Sweat and Marcella Louise Corbitt Sweat. She was a self-employed professional nanny and attended the Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by: two sisters: Patsy Oglesby and Marcella Louise Sweat. Survivors are her husband: Rev. Billy L. Hooper, Homerville; one son & daughter-in-law: Milton & Krystal Hooper, Nashville, TN; four sisters: Nolie Musgrove, Newberry, FL, Doleita Busscher, Lake City, FL, Annie Ruth Steedley, Fargo, GA and Diane Landley, Carrolton, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Hooper will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at three o’clock in the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
