Homerville, GA Mrs. Juanita Elizabeth Touchton Stalvey, 82, passed away Sunday, Mar. 22, 2009, in the Satilla Care Center, Waycross, GA. following an extended illness. Mrs. Stalvey was born in Echols County, GA, March 19, 1927 to the late Levy Franklin Touchton and Linnie Bell Johnson Touchton. She was retired from the Clinch Memorial Hospital, having worked in the housekeeping department and was a member of the New Vision Church of God. She was the widow of Marvin Stalvey, and was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Sandra Stalvey; five sisters: Shelby Smith, Sara Nell Smith, Oveda Carter, Nettie Shirley, & Rose Touchton; two brothers: W.F. Touchton, & Henery Touchton. Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Jan S. & Gary Pounds, of Adel, GA; three sons & two daughter-in-laws: Leslie Stalvey, Jr., of Waycross, GA, Stanley & Patricia Stalvey, and Wade & Elgin Stalvey, all of Homerville; one sister: Mary Henry, of Lake City, FL;three Brothers: George Touchton, of Homerville, Alonzo Touchton, White House, FL, Raymond Touchton, of Villarica, GA; eleven Grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; & several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Stalvey will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009, at three o’clock from the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Wednesday evening, March 25, 2009, from 7 until 9. Mrs. Stalvey will be carried to the church one hour prior to services. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Stalvey Family.
