Doris McLaine Stiles

Mrs. Eva Doris McLaine Stiles, 82, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Stiles was born March 28, 1933, in Homerville, GA to the late Louie McLaine and Eva Griffis McLaine. She was retired from Brockway Standard, was a member of the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church where she served as president of the Women’s Missionary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Stiles, one sister, Cecil Ann Steedley and one brother, J. L. McLaine. Survivors are two daughters: Jerri Moylan and Janet Clayton, both of Homerville; one step daughter & step son-in-law: Nary & Clarence Robinson, Murphy, NC; two step sons and step daughters-in-law: Lee & Patty Stiles and Gary & Glenda Stiles all of Spindale, NC; four brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy & Martha McLaine, Nolan & Brenda McLaine, Bobby & Vonell McLaine and Kenton & June McLaine all of Homerville; 2 grandchildren: Steven Palmer & Sylvia Palmer, both of Homerville; four great grandchildren: Cole Stewart, Ryan Palmer, Shiane Manac & Audrey Manac; one great great granddaughter: Sadie Palmer; 13 step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Stiles will be held Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at two o’clock in the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Tuesday Aug. 25, 2015, from 10 a.m. til 2 p.m. at the church. Condolences to the family may be conveyed at the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
