Marvin Grady Padgett

Valdosta, GA Marvin Grady Padgett, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA. Grady was born to the late John and Dora Mikell Padgett on October 23, 1943 in White Springs, FL. His family moved to Fargo, Georgia where he lived until his early 20’s. Grady then married and moved to the Valdosta area. He was a logger by trade and had invested over 50 years of his life in the business. Grady was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry Padgett and L.J. Padgett. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Jenny Lou Johnson Padgett, Valdosta; one sister and brother-in-law: Betty Mae & Billy Jack Waldron, Fargo, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa & Randall Loffman, Dasher, Ga and Gina & Willie Cox, Lake Park, Ga; one son and daughter-in-law: Grady Michael & Leigh Anna Padgett, Clyattville, GA; two stepchildren: Paul Knipp, Clyattville, GA and Sandra & Frank Spivey, Westminster, SC; seven grandchildren: Matthew Loffmin, Drake Loffmin, Ryan Cox, Emily Cox, Hannah Padgett, Ean Padgett and Macie Padgett. As per his wishes Mr. Padgett will be cremated and no formal viewing or service will be held.
