Mary Etta Mizell Wilson

Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary Etta Mizell Wilson, 87, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wilson was born May.27, 1928, in Homerville, GA to the late Sid Mizell and Fannie Delk Mizell. She had worked at Standard Container, was a Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Payton Franklin Wilson, grandson: Nathan Wilson, and two brothers: Rowan Mizell and Spencer Mizell. Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Alice & Hal Peagler and Angela & Charles Jones all of Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law: Ralph & Eloise Wilson, Homerville; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Candacy Corbitt Prescott, Pearson, GA and Nancy Marie & Fred Douglas, Douglas, GA; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015, at eleven o’clock in the Lang Country Church. Interment will be in the Lang Church Cemetery.
