Mina Mae Pittman Young

Homerville, GA Mrs. Mina Mae Pittman Young, 92, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015, at her daughters residence, in Homerville GA, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Young was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Homerville, GA., to the late Clifton “F. D.” Pittman and Emma Aliene Griffis Pittman. She was retired from Standard Container. Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law: Lounette & Hoke Herrin and Linda & Buddy Hallford, all of Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law: Danny & Lisa Young, Fitzgerald, GA; one sister: Fannie Mae Prysock, Hampton, GA; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 at eleven o’clock in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Sunday, July 5, 2015, from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Young will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
