Cynthia McQuaig McCarty

Albany, GA Mrs. Cynthia McQuaig McCarty, 57, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009, in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, of Albany. Mrs. McCarty was born Sept. 30, 1951, in Clinch County, to the late Baxley McQuaig & Dorothy Findley McQuaig. She was a Substitute Teacher for the Dougherty County Schools. Survivors are two sisters and a brother-in-law: Charlotte Pope, of Lakeland, GA, and Helen & Lance Jones, of Albany, GA; one brother & sister-in-law: Macky & Sandi McQuaig, of Homerville; five nieces: Madison Jones, of Albany, Caitlin McQuaig, of Homerville, Faith Bridges, of Homerville, Jill Pope, of Valdosta, & Farrin Pope, of Lakeland; a special cousin: Orbie Lou Pittman, of Valdosta; and several other relatives. Graveside services for Mrs. McCarty will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at two o’clock from the Pine Forest Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
