Bessie Young Henderson

Homerville, GA Mrs. Bessie Young Henderson, 85, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008, at the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Henderson was born December 20, 1922, in Clinch County, to the late Peter Aaron Young & Estelle Higginbothan Young. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband: Cody Henderson; a daughter: Vivian Booth; & a great-grandson: Brance Register. Survivors are four daughters & sons-in-law: Oudia & Billy Calley, of Homerville, Ga, Eileen Henderson, of Homerville, Ga, Angie & Jimmy Cumby, of Valdosta, Ga, Louise Rankin, of Inverness, FL; two sisters: Ollie Allison, of Jasper, and Juanice Aaron, Columbia, SC; twelve grandchildren & a step-grandchild: William Calley, Brian Calley, Gina Stalvey, Josh Woodard, Lorie Register, Leslie Booth, Melissa Morgan, Roy Strickland, Marcie Oxford, Vicky Weaver, Russell & Brandon Rankin, and Jason Cumby; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; care givers & friends: Connie Morris, Jessie Lanier, Drema Voight, Brenda Jewell, April Clewis;& several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Henderson will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at four o'clock from the First Baptist Church. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Henderson Family.
