Mary Jewell Propes

Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary Estelle Jewell Propes, 60, passed away Friday, Mar. 13, 2015 in the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL, following an extended illness. Mrs. Propes was born Mar. 9, 1955, in Homerville, GA, to the late Levi Jewell and Mary Beckham Jewell. She attended the University Blvd. Church of God and was a homemaker. Survivors are her husband: David Propes, Waycross; two daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth & Christopher Brazeale and Shirley & Billy Nettles all of Waycross; two sons and a daughter-in-law: David & Theresa Jewell and Ronnie Propes, all of Waycross; one sister and brother-in-law: Willie Nell & Ricky Martin, Waycross; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert & Barbara Jewell, Jack & Doreen Jewell, all of DuPont and Preston Jewell, Waycross; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Propes will be held Monday, Mar. 16, 2015 at three o’clock in the University Blvd. Church of God. Interment will be in the Camp Branch Providence Cemetery, Manor, GA. The family will receive friends, Sunday, Mar. 15, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Propes will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
