Rex Allen Smith

Homerville, GA Mr. Rex Allen Smith, 63, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness. Mr. Smith was born May 24, 1951 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He attended the Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Napier Smith. Survivors are his wife: Velda Jean James Smith, Manor; two daughters: Emily Suzanne Music (fiancée, Josh Booth) Manor, GA and Megan Hilary Smith, Tenpe, Arizona; his father: Rev. Dolphus P. Smith, Jr., Homerville; one sister and brother-in-law: Karen Camille & Donald Smith, Homerville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Rev. Artis & Cindy Smith, Homerville and Zachary Robert Clark & Irina Smith, Mena, Arkansas; two grandchildren: James Music, III and Haylee Music both of Manor and several other relatives.. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held, Friday, November 7, 2014, at eleven o’clock in the Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy, Manor, GA. Interment will be in the Camp Branch Church Cemetery, Manor GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
