Homerville, GA Mrs. Edna Faye Bennett Davis, 73, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, Georgia following a short illness. Mrs. Davis was born June 6, 1941 in Lakeland, GA to the late June Day Bennett and Bernice Mattox Bennett. She was a homemaker and was a member of the DuPont Full Gospel Mission Church. Survivors are her husband: Albert L. “Mann” Davis, Sr., Homerville; three daughters and a son-in-law: Darlene & Edwin Newbern, Dottie Bagley and Debra Newbern, all of Homerville; seven sons and daughters-in-law: Timothy Canty, Stockton, Jimmy Canty, South Carolina, Mike & Debbie Bennett, Newton, GA, Dean & Shirley Bennett, Stockton, Austin Davis, Johnny Newbern and Albert L. & Rosamary Davis, Jr. all of Homerville; five sisters: Vivian Zipperer, Daytona, FL, Latrell Smith, Fernandina, FL, Margie Fender & Betty Lankford, Homerville and Debra Inman, Lakeland; two brothers: Horace Bennett and Charles Bennett, both of Stockton; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at two o’clock in the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Wayfare Cemetery, Statenville, GA. The family will receive friend’s Tuesday, from 6 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
