Harvey Hendrix, Jr.

Waycross, GA Mr. Sherman Harvey Hendrix, Jr, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hendrix was born October 21, 1953 in Homerville, GA. He was a self-employed general contractor, a bee keeper and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle, in Waycross. He was preceded in death by one grandson: Christian Hendrix. Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa Diane & Billy Johnston, Homerville, Cassie & Clifton Flener and Jessica Elizabeth & Jeremy Brooker all of Waycross; one son and daughter-in-law: Clinton & Mclyn Hendrix, Patterson; his father and mother: Sherman “Hoppy” and Elizabeth Pope Hendrix, Homerville; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Angie & Stanley McCall and Quita & Kevin Maynard, all of Homerville; five grandchildren: Taylor Allen Roundtree, Dillion Allen, Mina Hendrix, Clinton Hendrix, Jr. and Elexia Brooker; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial services for Mr. Hendrix will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at two o’clock in the Place of Blessings Church of God, Argyle. Interment will be in the Kettle Creek Cemetery, Waycross, GA. The family will receive friend’s Wednesday, from 1 till 2 p.m. at the church. Condolences to the family may be conveyed at the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
