Darrell Ray Chauncey

Homerville, GA Mr. Darrell Ray Chauncey, 52, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Langdale Hospice House, Valdosta, Georgia following a short illness. Mr. Chauncey was born August 9, 1962 in Homerville, GA to Linda Chauncey, Homerville and the late James B. Chauncey. He had worked at Valdosta Truck Plaza as a mechanic and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors other than his mother are two daughters and a son-in-law: Shelby Chauncey, Homerville and Angel & Adam Baiet, Yukon, OK; two sons: Dalton Ray Chauncey, Homerville and Shane Chauncey, Yukon, OK; three brothers: James Allen Chauncey, Fitzgerald, Richard Chauncey & Karl Chauncey, Homerville; one sister: Linda Sue Reliford, Homerville; four grandchildren: Kylee Baiet, Holly Baiet, Cody Baiet and Trinity Chauncey; his ex-wife: Michelle Chauncey, Valdosta; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Chauncey will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014, at two o’clock in the Trinity Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friend’s Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Chauncey will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
