Homerville, GA Celebrating the Life of Bennie Eugene Leviton Bennie E. (Papa) Leviton, one of Homerville’s most respected, hardworking, loving elder statesman died Friday, July 4, 2014. Mr. Bennie was born in Homerville on Oct. 3, 1935 to James Benjamin Leviton and Mildred Carol Hill Leviton of Fargo, GA. His sister Latrell Hart and family, as well as brother Louis Leviton and family reside in Fargo. He graduated from Homerville High School in the Class of 1953 and played on the first Panther football team. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1958 and has resided in Homerville and Fargo his entire life. Bennie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather – loving and caring for everyone. His wife of 55 years, Carolyn Hughes Leviton, son, David A. (Tony) Leviton and wife, Shelia Leviton of Anderson, SC, son, Blake E. Leviton and wife, Beth Leviton of Homerville, daughter, Ashlan L. Laedlein and husband, Scott Laedlein of Highland Park, IL love and adore him. He leaves nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and caring friends, family and colleagues. A day of devotion to his life will be held at his home church, Homerville United Methodist Church. Greeting and visitation will be in the church Sanctuary on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 10:00 till 12:00. Services will begin at 12:00 noon. A private graveside service will follow in the Pine Forest Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 145, Homerville, GA 31634. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
