Clarence Edward Teston, Jr.

Homerville, GA  Mr. Clarence Edward Teston, Jr., 79, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his residence  Mr. Teston was born April 17, 1934 in Homerville, GA to the late Clarence Edward Teston, Sr. and Maybelle Bennett Teston. He worked for Slash Pine EMC for 52 years serving as General Manager for over 20 years. He was a member of the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church and was a Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lugene Booth Teston, one grandson, Alvin Pierce Henderson, IV and one sister, Rita T. Carter.  Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Debbie & Alvin Henderson, Homerville; two sons & daughters-in-law: Eddie & Shirley Teston, Homerville and Les & Amelia Teston, Waycross; three sisters: Margaret T. Lee, Manor, Sarah T. Griffis, Homerville and Glenda Pope, NM; five grandchildren: Dustin Henderson, Dallas Teston, Madison Teston, Jack Teston and Ema Teston; one step-grandchild: McKenzie Delk and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Funeral services for Mr. Teston will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at eleven o’clock from the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church.  Interment will be in the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.  Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
