Florence Dampier Brock

Homerville, GA  Mrs. Florence Scott Dampier Brock, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, following a short illness.  Mrs. Brock was born May 30, 1937 in Hart County, GA to the late Earl Asa Scott and Rosa Howell Scott. She was a member of the Fargo Church of God and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one sister, Beatrice Graham and three brothers: Ed Scott, Iris Scott and Van Scott.  Survivors are her husband: Tommy Lee Brock, Homerville; four daughters & sons-in-law: Vicki Jane Dampier, Galax, VA, Georgia Dampier & Elston Maurice White, Auburn, AL, Florence Dampier & Rev. Billy Singletary, DuPont, and Shirley Dampier & Gregory Royal, Harwood, TX; three sons & daughters-in-law: George Andrew Dampier and James Edward & Linda Dampier all of Statenville and Edwin Hayes & Stacy Lynn Dampier, Nashville, TN; sixteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Funeral services for Mrs. Brock will be held Saturday, Mar. 22, 2014 at two o’clock from the Fargo Church of God.  Interment will be in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.  Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
