Carlous Stalvey

Mr. Henry Carlous Stalvey, 81, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 in the Bradford Terrace, Hampton, FL, following an extended illness. Mr. Stalvey was born June 20, 1932 in Echols County, GA to the late Wyley S. Stalvey and Irene Griffis Stalvey. He was a self-employed furniture store operator and attended the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Harold Stalvey, Marshell Stalvey, Milton Stalvey and Ed Devon Stalvey and one sister: Joann Lursey. Survivors are his wife: Joyce Laverne Burnett Stalvey, Hampton, FL; two sons and daughters-in-law: Ronnie & Cindy Stalvey, St. Johns, FL and Blaine & Georgia Stalvey, Green Cove Springs, FL; five grandchildren: Rachel Stalvey Hendrix, Ashlee Stalvey, Becky Fillingim, Heather Stalvey Highhouse and Marshell Stalvey; six great grandchildren: Addison Hendrix, Rhett Hendrix, Bailey Hendrix, Emma Fillingin, Will Highhouse and Savannah Highhouse; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Stalvey will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at two o’clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 til 12 p.m. at the church. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
