Horace Hodge

Homerville, GA Mr. Horace Hodge, 80, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Mr. Hodge was born March 9, 1933 in Statenville, GA to the late Eddie Hodge and Fannie Jones Hodge. He was a member of the Browns Chapel AME Church. He was preceded in death by son, Clifford Hodge, two sisters, Eddie Mac Richberg & Annie Lee Hodge; six bothers: Willie Hodge, Billy Hodge, Edward Hodge, Jessie Hodge, Henry Hodge & Eddie Mac Hodge; one aunt: George Ann Jones. He leaves to cherish the memories of his life one daughter & son-in-law: Mary A. & Richard Dennard, Homerville; one son: Horace Hodge, Jr., Gulf Port, MS; one grandchild: Terry Lee, St. Pete, FL; six sisters and brother-in-law: Cora Vince, Jeanette & Lester Hardee, Fannie Bacon, all of Homerville, Willie Mac Hodge, Ft., Lauderdale, FL, Diane Hodge, Quitman, GA and Neecie Lamie, Barwick, GA; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Mike & Liz Hodge, Nahunta, GA and Eddie Lee & Andrea Hodge, New York; one sister-in-law: Willie Mac Hodge, Homerville and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Hodge will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at three o’clock from the Browns Chapel AME Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
