Dwayne Marion Neilson

Jacksonville, FL & Homerville, GA Mr. Dwayne Marion Neilson, 72, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 at his residence in Jacksonville, FL, following an extended illness. Mr. Neilson was born March 6, 1941 in Jewell County, Kansas, to the late Robert Neilson and Eva May Houghtaling Neilson. He was a retired welder for CSX, and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was retired from the U. S. Navy as an AO1, serving during the Vietnam War, with 20 years of service. Survivors are his wife: Cheryl Elizabeth Mercado Neilson, Jacksonville, FL; one daughter and son-in-law: Brandi & Mark Thomas, Homerville two step-daughters: Letticia Entner, Stark, FL and Katrina Desuyo, Texas; one step son: Jeremy Desuyo, Jacksonville, FL; one brother: Charles Bumgaroner, Miles, Montana; one cousin: Fred & Gracie Brumbraugh, Glenn St. Marys; thirteen grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial graveside services for Mr. Neilson will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at three o’clock in the Boney Bluff Cemetery, Fargo, GA. Memorilization will be by cremation.
