Doris Laverne Register

Homerville, GA Mrs. Doris Laverne Ammons Register, 75, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Register was born June 26, 1938 in Homerville, GA to the late Frank Ammons and Ruth Lee Ammons. She was a homemaker and member of the DuPont Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband: William J. “Billy” Register, Homerville; one daughter & son-in-law: Rhonda & Donald Robbins, Manor; one sister: Jolene Ammons, Orlando, FL; one brother & sister-in-law: John W. & Mary Ammons, Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren: Kylee & Brian Brown, Manor and Kristen Robbins, Atlanta; two great grandchildren: Collin Brown & Nick Brown, Manor; a helpful cousin, Ronald Morgan, Homerville; a special companion: Buffy and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Register will be held Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at three o’clock from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
