Verna Mae Price

Homerville, GA Mrs. Verna Mae Stewart Price, 52, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following a short illness. Mrs. Price, was born Aug, 29, 1961 in Homerville, GA to Mary Cloud Stewart James and the late Vernie Stewart, Sr. She was a retired manager for the Family Dollar Stores, a member of TPOS Social Club and attended the Place of Blessings Church of God in Argyle. She was preceded in death by, one brother, Vernie, “Sonny” Stewart, Jr.; one brother-in-law: Carl Wayne Manac and the father of her son, William Price, Sr.. Survivors other than her mother are one son and daughter-in-law: William & Samantha Price, Jr., Homerville; two grandchildren: Rebekah Price and Jacob Price, both of Homerville; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Sue & Robert Cox, Perry, FL and Reba Gail Manac, Argyle; one brother and sister-in-law: Charlie & Sandy Stewart, Homerville; a special friend: Phillip Howell, Homerville; and a number of great nieces, great nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Price will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at three o’clock from the Place of Blessings Church of God, Argyle. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Price will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
