Fargo, GA Mrs. Sara Mae Cribbs, 86, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at her residence, surrender by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Cribbs was born Aug. 2, 1929 in Hamilton County, FL to the late Dennis Cribbs and Rosebell McClain Cribbs and lived in Clinch County most of her life. She was a retired school bus driver & janitor, homemaker, seamstress, and an ordained minister & Mother of the Higher Heights Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isom Dewey Cribbs; two sons: Melvin Allen Cribbs & Elton Cribbs, one sister: Grace Cribbs Tomlinson, five brothers: Houston Cribbs, Charles Frank Cribbs, Price Cribbs, Dennis W. Cribbs and Emory Isom Cribbs. Survivors are three daughters: Mary Alice Cribbs Guess, husband Bobby, Pearson, Nellouise Cribbs Ellis and Ima Jean Cribbs Knowles, husband, Merle, Fargo; four sons: Dewey Allen Cribbs, wife Wesley Jane, James Elmer Cribbs, wife, Wanda and Willard Cribbs, wife Ruth all of Jasper and Dennis Lamar Cribbs, wife, Karen, Lakeland; three sister’s: Nettie Alma Cribbs Taylor, Fargo, Rosa Bell Cribbs, MacClenny, FL, and Janell Cribbs Padgett, Palatka, FL; forty two grandchildren; sixty three great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren and a number of other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Cribbs will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at four o’clock from the Higher Heights Church in Fargo. Interment will be in the Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 5 until at the Higher Heights Church in Fargo. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
