Robert Lee Gilbert, Sr.

Lake Park, GA Mr. Robert Lee Gilbert, Sr., 69, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 in the South Gerogia Medical Center, Valdosta, following a short illness. Mr. Gilbert was born May 15, 1943 in MacCleanny, FL to the late William L. Gilbert, Sr. and Martha Ree Register Gilbert and lived all in Clinch County for several years, he had worked for D. L. Lee & Sons and was a member of the Place of Blessing Church of God. Survivors are two daughters: Ruby McKown, Valdosta and Felicia Thomas, Homerville; three sons: Robert Lee Gilbert, Jr., Lake Park, Stephen Gilbert, Lakeland, FL and Cassidy Finch, Homerville; three sister’s: Helen Stalvey, Christine Pittman and Doris Corbitt all of Homerville; one brother: William L. “W.L.” Gilbert, Jr., Alma, GA;12 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
