Mary Janette Deese

Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary Janette Higgs Deese, 79, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at her residence following a short illness. Mrs. Deese was born Nov. 5, 1933 in Coffee County, GA to the late Sherman Higgs and Elvena Davis Higgs. She had lived in Clinch County most of her life. She was retired from B-Way and attended the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband: Junior B. Deese; one son: Donald Edward Davis; and one grandson: Tug Delk. Survivors are one daughter and a son-in-law: Ann & R. L. Guy, Homerville; one sister: Helen Fitch, Silver Springs, FL; one granddaughter: Tammy Delk Thompson, Homerville; four great grandchildren: Caleb Thompson, Henry Tug Delk, III, Desirae Delk and Jack-Cameron Thompson; one adopted great grandson: Shane Strickland and a number of other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Deese will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at two o’clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
