Betty Lou Gilley Smith

Homerville, GA Mrs. Betty Lou Gilley Smith, 82, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at her residence following a short illness. Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 5, 1931 in Thomas, Georgia to the late Albert Gilley and Irene Hughes Gilley. She was a Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Lamont, two sisters, Helen Ryan and Catherine Windhouse. Survivors are her husband of 64 years: William M “Red” Smith, Homerville; one son: Daniel Smith, Bryant AR; one sister: Jackie Sirmans, Valdosta; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a number of relatives.
