Leola Davis Smith

Homerville, GA Mrs. Leola Davis Smith, 81 passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following an extended illness. Mrs. Smith was born June 13, 1931, in Homerville, to the late John Davis and Viola Smith Cowart. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Smith and two sisters: Hazel Goss & Margaret Eubanks. Survivors are her husband: Claude Franklyn “Sonkey” Smith, Homerville; one daughter: Nita Smith, Homerville; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Rob Smith, Frank & Janice Smith and Reese Smith, all of Homerville; three brothers: Albert Leo “Mann” Davis, & Jim Edward Davis, both of Homerville and John L. Davis, Interlachen, FL; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Smith will be held Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at two o’clock from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
