Patricia "Pat" Wetherington Brockinton

Fargo, GA Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Kaney Wetherington Brockinton, 76, of Fargo, GA, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 23, 2012, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Brockinton was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Clinch County to the late Ralph Kaney and Emma Godwin Kaney. She was a homemaker, member of the Fargo Evangelistic Church, Fargo Senior Citizens, Echols County Library Board, Echols County DFACS and the Echols County Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert C. Wetherington and Raymond Brockinton. Survivors are four daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy & Charles Handley, Fargo, Patricia & Gene Gray, Mayday, Suzie Wetherington, Valdosta and Judy & Chris Tolle, Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law: Charles & Lorrie Wetherington, Valdosta; one sister: Betty Cason, Woodbine; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Brockinton will be held Sunday, Mar. 25, 2012, at three o’clock at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church, Mayday, GA. Internment will be in the Wayfare Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, Mar. 24, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home, Homerville, GA. Mrs. Brockinton will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
