Marilyn "Sis" Griffin

Marilyn "Sis" Hackett Griffin – 71 Of Homerville, passed away late Sunday night May 22, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born August 3, 1939 in New Castle, PA to the late Hansel Wayne and Esther Pauline (McQuiston) Hackett. She retired as the bookkeeper of Griffin Trucking. She was a member of Shiloh Congregational Methodist Church and an active member of the Church Choir and Ladies Prayer Band Ministry. She is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Lynn Hackett. Survivors include: Husband Harry M. Griffin, Sr. Homerville, GA 2 Sons & Daughter-In-Laws Randy & Tammy Griffin Valdosta, GA Harry & Sherry Griffin Stockton, GA Daughter & Son-In-Law Pam & Ray Welch Homerville, GA Grandchildren: Brooke (Griffin) & Lance Lehman, Sydney (Griffin) & John Fox, Dalton Griffin, Brittany Welch, Kaylee Griffin, Ashlyn Welch, Levi Griffin, Taylor Griffin 2 Brothers & Sister-In-Laws Gary & Martha Hackett Beaver Falls, PA Bob & Betty Hackett Wampum, PA Special Sister Bonnie Barlow Lanier Homerville, GA Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the Shiloh Congregational Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Roundtree Funeral Home in Homerville, Georgia Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
