Homerville, GA Mrs. Delois Carter Cleveland, 66, passed away, Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Mrs. Cleveland was born in Clinch County, July 8, 1944, to the late Miles Gray and Clara Carter Gray. She was a member of the Greater Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Trustee Board, Usher Board and the choir. She was employed with BWay and was a former Pink Lady. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus Cleveland, one daughter, Sharryl Cleveland one sister, Sonja Gray, and one brother, Kevin Gray. Survivors are one daughter: Xavier (Waddie) C. Walker, Homerville; one son: Darryl (Stephanie) Cleveland, Homerville; one sister: Wanda Richardson, Homerville; one brother: Miles Allen (Cynthia) Gray, Columbus, GA; four grandchildren: Darryl, Christopher, KhaDarius and Tahj; four sisters-in-law: Linda Chapman & Zora Mae Moon, Alexander City, AL. Dorothy Jean Davis, Chicago, IL and Jerry Ruth Chapman, Danville, IL; special friends: Marie Barkley, Evenly Kinlaw, Tresca Lee and Madeline Gore, All of Homerville; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services for Mrs. Cleveland will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 11:00 am from the Greater Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6 till 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Cleveland will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
