Homerville, GA Mrs. Betty Hughes Bennett, 79 passed away Wednesday, February 02, 2011 at Clinch Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Bennett was born April 19, 1931 in Homerville, GA, to the late Kenneth Sinclair Hughes and Helen Johnson Hughes. She was the bookkeeper for Bennett’s Super Market and a member of First Baptist Church, WMU, DAR, and Faith Builders Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harley Bennett. Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law: Anne & Greg Britt of Warner Robbins, GA, Lisa & Tim Forshee of Tifton, GA; One son and daughter-in-law: Jimmy & Vanessa Bennett of Homerville, GA; One brother-in-law: Kenneth & Phyllis Bennett of Homerville, GA; Seven grandchildren: Bryan & Crystal Bennett, Melody Gillis, Ben & Natasha Gillis, all of Homerville, GA, Cole Britt, Jarrett Britt, Kristin Britt all of Warner Robbins, GA, and Lindsey & Zach Forshee of Tifton, GA; Six great grandchildren: Weston Bennett, Abbie Bennett, Mary Britt, Olivia Britt, Hunter Gillis, and Aubyn Guice and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Bennett will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 o’clock at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church from 6 til 8.
